The redesigned 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG gets a new seven-speed automatic transmission with an eye toward improving fuel economy. The luxury car was unveiled ahead of a simultaneous world premiere on November 20 at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show and 2013 Tokyo Auto Show.

    V12 is baller, but the depreciation is insane. Get a 2005 model for like $15k and then chip it it - voila - you get over 600hp.

    Just a bonkers car. There are only a few people for whom an S65 is desirable, though. I've driven them before and 99.5% of the time they feel just like every other S-Class. The base cars have so much power already that the additional thrust is only really evident during high-speed, full-throttle acceleration. If you live close to an Autobahn this would be the ultimate mode of transportation. Here in the US? Just get an S63 if you want a "sporty" S-Class.

    dont get me wrong; the performance is there, the visual appeal is there, but for $212k, i can't see the justification of buying this instead of a S63, other than the V12 badge. and for performance numbers, the S8 is faster 0-60 at 3.9 sec, the Aston Martin Rapide and Maserati Quattroporte are not as fast, or tech savvy, but definitely more exclusive. A matter of taste i guess
