I thought this car came with the track pack? It seems that you might have tried with the stock brakes, and put the brake cooling vent things that are in the trunk kit on the car for your track test --- then maybe I'd understand doing a comparison between factory race spec and aftermarket.

damn $310 to swap pads and do a fluid flush, that's like an hour-1.5hr job for someone with a lift that knows what they are doing

And since you're driving the car on the track, you have to change the motor oil to Mobil 1 15w50 for the track day, and then back to the normal (I assume dexos) once you're done tracking. It's all here for you: http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam/Chevrolet/northamerica/usa/nscwebsite/en/Home/Ownership/Manuals and Videos/02_pdf/Corvette_TrackPREP_v13.pdf

This also tells you how to prepare your stock brake pads for track use.

So basically $850 before tax, for a car that already has the Z51 package.

Wow, I'm going to quit my job, buy a lift, and go into car-care business. I'll make more than I do now at these rates. Think I can get BMW and Corvette owners to drop their car off at my house?
