"I could get used to seeing it every morning. Or do I need to get my eyes checked?" ---------------------- I don't know about getting your eyes checked, but you might want to consider standing upright in the mornings. Unless you are 5 years old or a little person, you are NEVER going to see the views in the first two pictures as you leave the house.

What's in the trunk? Load of bricks? It looks really low in the back...

Mine was a "swap" with another dealer to get the color we wanted, not a true silver but a slight variant in the VW color scheme. It showed up with "dealer options" which I did not have to pay for, in the form of pinstriping, a tiny rear spoiler, and window tint. I never would have put this stuff on myself (except the tint) but I have to admit it actually helps the look, gives it a longer and actually sleeker look. From certain angles the car can look pedestrian. From others, it can look sleek. It reminds me a lot (no surprise, I guess) to the 1984 Audi 5000 I owned many years ago.

Every line on the car has a well thought out starting and ending point that in total, produce solid character. What is interesting is how this look changes with sun angle, brightning certain surfaces and darkning others, completly changing the character of the car. Suggest you pick up a set of upgraded car mats at your overdue 10,000 mile service. The floor mats look great and the trunk mat includes blocks with velcro that do an excellent job holding small items in place. The blocks are very practical in such a large space, especially if you are hauling water mellons.
