    It is a 900+ hp super rare hyper car. It can run on baby seals and be as loud as a jumbo jet. It isn't exactly going to be a commuter car now is it? Making this thing a hybid is just a pointless addition of weight and complexity.

    @stovt001: You're right. Running a whole 6 miles in electric mode is pretty much a gimmick, other than maybe the silent running. I've still got very high hopes for this car though, and can not wait for a review!

    Don't get me wrong I love McLaren. It would be more understandable if the reason given was that the electric motors was the best method of getting the torque curve they were looking for or something. Well maybe you could use the electric mode to sneak up on someone and ambush them, like that one episode of The Office.
