EPA ratings are fine; however, what are the real world stats?

Not bad looking at, IMO. Hopefully it lives up to the MPG, Fusion Hybrid wasn't delivering its according MPG before they fixed the issue. Hmm I wonder what's its total horsepower and price! =)

I purchased the plug-in hybrid version of this car a few months ago and am very pleased. I'm getting about 94mpg on my most recent tank full of gas; because my model is a plug-in hybrid my first 15 miles are 'free', no gasoline, so my mileage per tank is much higher than the engine-only mpg of about 50, especially when I take many short trips and can recharge before my next trip.

My experience is that the vehicle regularly beats the rated 47mpg (after the plug-in miles are expired). I typically get 50 to 55 with the plug-in battery expired and obviously there is some variation (up and down) given the particular trip.

The nicest thing about this vehicle, from my perspective, is not the mileage but the drive; it drives beautifully, very smooth and quiet.

The biggest nice surprise is a feature Honda calls Adaptive Cruze Control which autoatically slows down the vehicle when cruze control is working to keep the distance between my vehicle and the vehicle in front of me constant. If a vehicle pulls in front of you unexpectedly with this feature on the car responds; a big safety plus and a big conveniece plus for anyone who has used cruze control and has gotten tired of constantly fiddling with the set speed to allow for traffic variations.

My plug-in Accord, like the Fusion and C-Max Energi plug ins, have reduced trunk space to accommodate their batteries. I find I can easily get two 26 inch suitcases to fit (taking advantage of vertical space) which matches the Prius I used to own.

If you drive longer trips than me you can expect lower mileage per tank (say 65mpg or so on a tank where I took longer trips), but still, that puts my Prius to shame and this vehicle is a big step up in quality.

My suggestion to Honda: offer different battery options. I would have gladly paid more for a battery with more capacity.

Congratulations to Honda for doing so many things right with this vehicle.
