    I tried to submit this comment 3 times a few hours ago, got an error message and it hasn't shown up yet, so here we go again - living in Dallas now, I miss taking the quick road trip from San Diego to Vegas a few times a year. I'm not a big gambler but there were plenty of other sights and sounds to keep me entertained (cheap hotels, food and drinks don't hurt either). The 5 hour drive was far enough that you felt "away from home", but not far enough to significantly eat into the time off.

    "Even with a short time in Vegas, I had walked quite a bit and I had done it in the wrong shoes. " I'm still trying to get my head around this comment. A guy with the wrong shoes for walking? We have Frank Marino here to fill that niche. The Edmunds crew are gluttons for punishment buying gas at Baker. The gas prices there are not so much rape as kidney theft.
