Destination is a mandatory fee, that is the same in California as it would be if you picked the car up from the factory. There is absolutely no reason to quote a starting price "without destination". Honestly, I don't understand why the manufacturers even bother to break it out of the price of the car.
The engine's specs are under the limited overboost mode. Fine for a SUV or family car where someone's only going to dip into it for on ramps and passing, not so great when it's suppose to be a sport car.
I'm surprised that the fact that it's a "domestic" is considered a top 5 quality. That doesn't speak to any of the car's strengths, and you know well enough that automakers are globalized nowadays (and the Focus in general is a "world car" that was designed in multiple locations, to be sold in multiple locations).
