There's a new crash test being promoted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and most of the 11 luxury cars tested so far didn't fare well. Family sedans will be tested next.

    No matter how much more crush zone is added or advanced accident avoidance technologies become and safer restraints and air-bag cushions are, the fact remains at over 40mph (64kph) existing "static crash safety cage technology" begins to fail greatly,,, that at 60mph (97kph) your chances are 200 percent in favor of major injury or death,,, compared to a separable but tethered crash safety cage shielded from the sacrificial areas of the vehicle our chances against major injury or death are improved by over 800 percent,,, please read these articles and check out the links to "Dynamically Safer High-Speed Collisions"...
