Since you're grading on a curve relative to the rest of the class I'd like to know what cars you benchmarked. To me the class is very small. The review mentions the RX350 but that car doesn't have a 3rd row. It also mentions the MDX which I see as the only real competitor to the JX. Other possible competition includes the Enclave, MKT and that's about it for 3 row CUVs with luxury aspirations. Which brings me to the my questions about the curve. IMO the JX beats all these competitors in the Interior and Comfort categories. And while it's not a strong performer, I don't think any of the cars in the class are either so I don't know where all the Cs are coming from. If you're including the X5 and Cayenne in the mix then I guess the JX is a C when it comes to performance, but compared to those cars it's an A in terms of Comfort, Convenience and Value. I'll admit that I'm a little biased in favor of the JX. I don't own one but I completely get it and think it should be the number one option right now for families that need three rows and want a luxury badge.
