You might need to have the dealer check it out. The seat heaters work very well on mine. The highest setting is extremely toasty and comes up quick.

Its been 90 degrees and humid out here lately. Just thinking about seat heaters is making my back sweat.

Bring the vehicle to Houston and let it sit in the sun a few hours, hop back in and the seats will definitely "bring the heat"!

I just bought one of these CX-5's and I can tell you that the seat heaters on the leather do suck. The cloth seats however heat up to inferno in about 10 seconds. I drove the GT and hated the leather seats, and the ride with the 19" wheels. The model below is a much better vehicle!

I had a 2010 Mazda previously, and brought my CX-5 in for the same reason. I was told the seat heats work "as designed, but the highest setting isn't even as hot as the lowest setting on the 2010 Mazda 3. http://www.cxfail.com/2013/03/remote-starter.html
