The back seat is NOISY. Listen-up GM: put some sound-proofing in the rear wheel-wells. This is supposed to be a luxury car!

Usually I accuse Edmunds of being biased, but I would say this was a fair assessment of the 2.0T RWD ATS. I felt the same in regards to the RWD turbo without the magnetic suspension option. However, the AWD with magnetic suspension did away with any concerns, and the ride was supple enough for me driving down the 101 fwy and again up Bouquet Canyon Rd past the 14 FWY. I had plenty of power and torque climbing up the canyon road before I needed to turn back. My one complaint was a slight squeak from the headliner surrounding the sunroof, which is similar to what my neighbor complained about with his 2011 Malibu. I never noticed this issue with any other ATS I test drove, so hopefully it's an isolated issue.

other than some first model year jitters, the test came out more favorable than I first expected. This sounds like a car I would like in a few years.
