Hmm, why is the NHTSA sticking its head in on this? I detected no safety problems in the above article. What is interesting is that "The engine may continue to start and stop..." Huh? Why wouldn't Subaru allow the 15 minutes of run time and then shut off the engine until someone actually starts the car with the key? Maybe, just maybe, the "start" fob button could be stuck on "start" for some reson. But that shouldn't affect an auto shutoff after the one try-- should it?
