Do it! Stick with the 19s.

Yes, the 19s look better. Better design and a more balanced looking size. The 20s look cartoonish.

I need to get some new summer tires as well. I'm still rocking my snows.

Sure - go drop another $1,500 on summer 19s...because the wheels look better...on a car you're only going to keep for another 10k miles. I mean, you already got a $500+ oil change. Throw it on the Edmunds corporate platinum card. Whatever.

I agree the 19s look better. With those strong spokes and so little rubber around the edge, the 20s look like wagon wheels.

i'm with the crowd... the 19s look better, and from what you write the ride improvement is pretty major as well.

The 19's are actually really ugly haha. Stick with the 20's; they are much better looking.

Definitely go with the 19s. They have a better design, and the car performs better with them. Fight back against the absurd trend of humongous wheels.

Just like the last time you asked about the Porsche's tires, I say yes. @fordson1: Considering this site is about reviewing automotive ownership experiences, I really think they'd be remiss to ignore how different wheels on the car would change it's driving character, if there was a suspicion that they would do so. That's the reason for the Long-Term Road Test page's existence right? Current or potential 911 owner likes the car, but is unsure about the ride quality, but it doesn't say very much about it on reviews. He/She comes to this page, see's that people felt the same way, and that those people bought different size wheels that did or maybe didn't help. He/She now knows how to proceed. Mission accomplished.

With the 20" wheels this Porsche looks like a caricature of a real car. I would really like to the trend to ever larger wheels reversed. They actually hurt performance. My Boxster has 18's, which look great, but I can feel the weight of the wheels over road imperfections.

    19's are way hotter.

I hate to be a non-purist, but in this case, the 20's definitely look better to me.

I think 20's are the limit of what looks good, however. Anything larger would just look out of whack, but the 19's just don't appeal to me.

19" simply because with SoCal's crappy roads you need all the sidewall you can get.

the 20's are much better looking IMO, but the ride quality of the 19s would make me stick with the 19s (and summer tires)
