Is there such thing as a luxury wagon that would sell well here in the U.S.? We take the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake for a drive to find out.

    Hey we can comment!

"It's a fine engine that, in common with all the Sportbrake models, benefits from ZF's excellent eight-speed automatic." Did you mean XF there?

And this car looks fantastic. Too bad it will probably never come to the US. I be they weren't lying when the y said they'd bing it over with proper demand, but we all know that demand is never going to be enough to justify bringing a wagon over.

The dash looks like something copied from the Cadillac Escalade. Not exactly something that screams premium luxury. Otherwise, it's pretty sweet!

Stop being an infant, cz_75. I don't like the new format much either, but I'm going to give it a try for awhile and simply go elsewhere if I'm not happy with it.

This is a beautiful car, but considering how few German luxury wagons or XF sedans I see on the road, Jaguar will never see enough demand to bring it over. I wonder if wagons would be as popular over the pond if it didn't cost the same to fuel this diesel wagon in England as it does to feed a V8 Tahoe here in the states.

@ luxurycarlover: ZF is a transmission supplier.

Can someone explain to me how this car, which is pretty heavy, can get 46 mpg and go 0-60 in 6.1 seconds? Or is that kilometers per hour? What magical technology do the Europeans have that we don't? Comparable performance from a U.S. engine would get you 30 mpg at best.

    meant kilometers per gallon
