    The Tesla S is heavy, powerful, has low profile tires and is fun when using the skinny pedal. Combine this with incorrect setup for camber and toe and destroyed tires is the predictable result.

    However, I have to call out Edmunds for not performing a basic check of your tires on a regular basis. You should not have let the tires wear down to the belts showing and still be driving on public streets.

    I'd get a light-duty diesel pickup. Glad one of the automakers finally stepped up to the plate.

    Odd that no one mentioned during the discussion of the Ram 1500 diesel what a rude noisome presence these things are in traffic. Ya gotta ride a motorcycle, as I do, and be right out in it to really appreciate how rotten these things smell...and they sound like they were made in (the former) East Germany. You have to have the soul of a toad to like 'em.
