    OMG, you guys can take the SLS back to the dealer 3 times for a crappy roof but you can't warranty a stupid $5 shift knob? Get over it and grow the eff up.

    Order an aftermarket replacement that is to your taste, and have the existing one replaced under warranty. You can always swap the aftermarket knob over to the FR-S which is hardly stock anyway.

    "No amount of pounding..." Jeez, take it easy on the car. Pull it off, find the correct placement, then take it back out and apply glue. If you take it to the dealer, that's just what they'll do.
