    Yes but insurance companies will start giving discounts to self-driving cars, because they are safer. Then certain roads will only be available at certain times to self-driving cars because its safer and traffic moves faster. Then you'll get hit with a surtax if you're so darn selfish you actually want to drive yourself!

    It will be standard equipment by 2030 and enthusiasts will be banished to tracks, regarded as luddites, Amish, quaint and weird.

    I enjoy driving but for those who don't and can afford to pay a premium for this technology they will be happy. However, most people I know who don't like driving drive cheap boring little sedans. The cost will be too much and only attract those who have the dollars keen to have such technology in their car or truck.
