    You will be getting the AdBlue warning light shortly. The Passat TDI will not run without this supplement which is injected into the exhaust system to reduce emissions. The VW dealer fills for free at the 10, 20 and 30k inspections (which your overdue) along with performing all other required maintenance. My local dealer does not require an appointment reservation and completed the 10k in under an hour. I have noticed a distinct drop off in mpg as winter weather sets in. I had an average of 43 mpg for the first 14,000 miles but in the past 2 months that average has dropped by 3 mpg as the temperature dropped below 50 degrees.
