I smell a new marketing campaign: "The 2014 Honda Odyssey: It really sucks" :)

I can see this being useful for unexpected spills when you're not at home. Will that appeal to anybody? Certainly. Will it make-or-break the Odyssey? No.

We used to have the first bigger Odyssey, bought it in 1997. Bought another one in 2004. Loved both of them. Then came the model after that. Don't know what happened to the people designing the interiors at Honda - but after 2006 or 2007 everything ended up looking single color grey or brown. The two tone interiors were history and the variations in interior colors and materials went to pot. We looked at a 2009 blue with grey interior - but the interior looked like a grey slab of concrete. It felt like sitting inside a bunker. Too bad. Still hoping they will revert back to the higher quality interiors. We have driven Hondas since 1986. Still have a 2004 Honda Pilot - not sure what to buy next - because the current Pilot is again not cutting it.
Bring back the original interior designers - please!!!
