    Not really considering the circumstances. Two adults, two kids, fully loaded with gear, two mountain bikes hanging off the rear rack adding aero drag, 100+ degree heat working the A/C hard. What do you expect?

    Still pretty competitive with the CR-V, all things considered. And considering the car's size, it's pretty competitive with the Subaru Impreza too!!

    I think the load, the bikes, and the weather all add up to make this something close to a worst case scenario, so considering that that fuel economy is pretty OK.
