I can get 32 mpg highway or more in my ST if I stay at or below the speed limit and the outside temp is mild (no a/c) ..... but with that turbo power just a press of my right foot away it's really hard to honor any speed limits!

HAHAH, I just made that same drive last weekend.. Brisk pace right! Then there are all the trucks and Slow drivers that stay in the fast lane you need to pass. I drove my 2009 135i and had an average speed of 82mph (including a stop for gas and slowing for the LA traffic). I was hauling [non-permissible content removed] yes. I managed 24mpg in my 3 liter twin turbo, not bad considering how heavy I was on the gas!

25mpg is pretty good for hauling [non-permissible content removed] in a car with as much of a fun quotient as the ST offers. I'm tooling around in a rented RAV4 this week and getting just under 25mpg with more sedated highway speeds and ZERO fun quotient.
