    I've been wondering how relevant EPA figures are to trucks. I assume that during EPA testing, trucks are tested with no load and only a driver. However, if used as a truck in the real world, the GCVW can be significantly higher. So if a 5000 lb truck is moving around 7000 lbs (say a 1200 lb load and 4 men), is it really realistic to expect EPA ratings? I wonder if the EPA testing should reflect this somehow? It's probably too difficult, but would be nice.

    Heavy/Tall/Wide/Big Motor/Heavy Foot = Low mileage.
    It is a truck after all.
