"Service due since 10 miles"?!?!? The BMW German to English translator should be fired...
Also neither 10 or 30 miles is an adequate distance before an oil change warning. What if you were on a road trip? It should start at least 500 miles before the calc mileage for an oil change. Specially when they are about 8k to 15k miles apart...

BMW is a maximum of 10k miles on service intervals these days, like pretty much every other automaker. Thank you Mobil 1 and Castrol for your cost reduced oils.

banhugh, Edmunds went 10 miles (finally 30) OVER the time for the indicated oil change. The car would have indicated an oil change coming due for quite some time now

So...for over $50k you get a $30,000 car and 5-7 free oil changes. What a deal.

Azsoonerfan, thanks! That makes more sense but still the display message "Service due since 10 miles" is ridiculously awful.
