Good question diondi. Every post about the Passat should include how it compares to the other one...unless the writer doesn't know which car they are in since they are essential they same car.

"By the time I got to work 30 minutes later, I was turning down the temperature" Why would anyone turn the temperature up in the first place in a car with climate control? If it's 40 and you want it to be 70, set it at 70. I won't go from 40 to 70 any faster if you set it to 85.

I've been saying this for years. I have two cars with auto climate control. I realized while driving my manual climate control cars that I tend to crank the heat on a cold day. In the cars with auto climate control set to 70-74, it never seems as warm. It's because it's not. So I've started setting the heat to 78 and leaving it because that happens to be how warm I want the interior to be, even though my house is set 10-15 degrees colder.

I turn the temperature up in my climate controlled car because when I feel freezing cold, I don't want to warm up to my normal 72 degrees. I want to feel like I'm sitting in a toaster oven for a while. Same in the summer when it is very hot and humid out. I want to get in my car and feel like a popsicle for a while before returning to my normal 72 degree setting.
