There's nothing at all "stock" or relevant to production cars in even these new models. Take off the decals and they're just marginally more differentiated than the old cars. There is absolutely nothing a tube-frame, V8 powered RWD semi-spec car has in common with a production Fusion. I'm not against silhouette cars, as long as they're awesome (see DTM) but I'm tired of the manufacturers pretending they're actually related to production cars and the media going along with it. And if you're going to make a silhouette car, model it on something exciting, not a 4 cyl-only FWD family sedan.
