    I'm not with you there. The Civic Si had a way more exciting exhaust note (and kick... yo) than the BRZ does and doesn't fall flat at high revs. The Toyobaru's engine is probably the only real letdown (other than the lack of a lift-back) to what's otherwise a pretty balanced car. Heck, I thought Toyota's old 1.8 liter in the Celica GT-S had more "drama", even if it's an overall weaker engine.

    Good to read that sound from the engine is acceptable. I was most worried from early reviews that suggested this engine is not very special, which would be disappointing in a sports car.
