Puppies and cars certainly can be a great ice breaker. If you attend events centered on your interests (e.g., car shows) you certainly will meet enthusiastic people with similar interests! It's great seeing some many people across the country milling around your new Stingray.

The 3 cars I "followed" in my boy years were Jaguar E-type, mid-year Corvette, and (first-gen) Camaro.

My favorite was always the Ferrari F355 F1 Spyder. I thought paddle shifters were the greatest idea EVER, and evidently so do a lot of other people...

One of my uncles had a Jeep when I was a kid back in the 50s. May have been WWII surplus for all I know. Loved riding in the back even though I was always banging my head on the metal cab while he bounced down the dirt track to his fishing camp.

    My first car was a '74 CJ-5.

Porsche 911. And I consider myself very lucky to have special ordered one from the factory that I owned for a few years before my son was born. I'm hoping/planning to buy one again when my son is in a booster and able to fit comfortably in the back seat.
