always hate the cringe factor of pulling away from a 4 way stop as a cop pulls up and the tires let out a scream when they hit the painted "stop" letters.

A Focus ST or MS3 comes with a pretty good set of summer tires. A GTI comes with pretty good all-season tires (PZero Neros - make the dealer swap if your chosen car has the Dunlops on it...). Those are included in the price of the car. What are these Primacys good for? They are not a summer compound, but they are no good as all-seasons because of the summer tread pattern. So they're no good as summer tires, no good as all-season tires and of course no good as winter tires. So to the price of the car, you have to add...for a half-decent set of summer or HP all-season tires, plus tax and/or shipping, plus mounting and balancing...say $800 to $1,000. This car is really not that powerful; it's supposed to be all about the handling...but then they handicap the handling (and the braking) from the factory. What?

These tires are supposed to "up" the fun factor and explorable limits. I'm all for that, particularly if they prove durable for many miles and occasional track days. Will we learn about that here?

What a pathetic [non-permissible content removed] Jacquot is. Put on other other tire, idiot.
