    "The market for hatchbacks in the U.S. is pretty limited" says Mark Gillies of Volkswagen of American. So what tree has he been sleeping under for the last 5 years? Tell that to Kia Soul, many small Fords, and others. With a diesel and priced correctly this thing would sell like hotcakes in the US! Come on VW, Wake up! Your Passat is selling much better not because of bigger size but because of $7000 price drop!

    Two years ago, VW was on a roll with big plans to take over the world. Now they have flamed-out and demonstrate why they are still just a Golf-centric company.
