    As well benefits from something most vw's have is the sport mode which gets rid of the fuel economy programming that retards the reflexes of the engine.

    The +/- are backwards, and on the wrong side.

    This is a diesel engine with a 5k redline. I'm not really sure how much "reflexes" comes into play with this kind of engine.

    I don't see where the +/- are backwards. This is the same setup that was on my first Tiptronic in 2003. Since VW/Porsche/Audi were early users of a "tiptronic/auto-stick/etc..-type," and it's still the original configuration (though a DSG) I'd say they have the directions about right.
