    Last time I checked batteries were measured in current x time, i.e. Ah, mAh, not energy units (kWh).

    "range will be software-limited to 40 kWh" -If I were a customer that received a better pack, I sure wouldn't mind that they restricted it to correlate with what I paid, but why go to the trouble of implementing software (more cost) when you could just make their day? Chances of them being extremely happy with the company and deciding to stay with it seem probable. Still, they did get more power...
