EPA revisedFuel economy figures for my '89 CRX SI list them at 33 Hwy and 28 city. HOWEVER, even with my foot stomped through the floor boards on a daily and near constant basis, I average a combined (City & Hwy) in the upper 35 mpg's. This number is calculated using EXACT numbers for fuel and miles, no rounding up or down with any numbers. And finally, The 88 -91 2nd gen cars had more HP with even better 1/4 mi performance figures than the 1st gen cars. On top of that, having driven both gens, I can also state that handling, and driver feedback behind the wheel, is much improved as well. And no more fiberglass front fenders either ...
