Is it coincidence that the museum is in Bowling Green and the car is green...

It is good that you are helping the environment by getting a green car.

EV marketing has taught us that green paint equals high mpg. It's based on the same principle as Greddy stickers on a Civic.

you lost the link to the site on the main blog post when this moved to the long term posts from the original post. But if you click on Comments you can see an alternate link. Donna, can this be fixed?

To quote Jeremy Clarkson, "well done fat man from Kentucky."
  • greenponygreenpony Member Posts: 531
As opposed to "medium rare fat man from Kentucky"?

From the second web cam, I can see other new owners picking up there cars -- main demographic seems to be old fat bald men, not that there's anything wrong with that.

What happened to the pickup at 10:30am Central Time? The same cars are still sitting there.

And any videos of Frio and Niebuhr picking it up and burning some donuts outside? :)

It took HOURS but now the Corvette is ours.

And there is already a red Corvette in its place.

Completely unrelated, any chance you're looking to add someone to the editorial staff (and by extension, the LT fleet checkout list)?

Not sure I like the color. I think it might have been Wayne Cherry who said "All Corvettes are red. Any other color is a mistake." I tend to agree.

Already doing burnouts on a 0 mile engine? So much for breaking it in gently. But I guess it doesn't matter to Edmunds since they will be selling it in a year anyway.

I think that Wayne Cherry quote is outdated, and I'm not sure I agreed with it in the first place. Ferraris are red, and Corvettes need their own signature color. They race in yellow and have for quite some time now. Yellow should be the official Corvette color. However, I dare you to look at a '63 split window Stingray and tell me green isn't a valid color for a Corvette.

Way to break in those $450 (EACH) rear tires...was that really necessary? It is your car, and you can do whatever you want with it, but sometimes a little restraint is a more prudent choice.

The readers will not feel sorry for you in 6 months when you complain about the car sitting at Stokes for a new pair of rear tires, and the $1000 bill that comes along with it.

Wow - a burnout. You mean a 3400-lb. rear-drive car with 460 hp will do a burnout? Zzzzzzzz.
