Please do not be so hard on the little V-6. I'd give my left to own a new v-6 with automatic trans and the performance package. Get this! all it take to run 4.3 0 -60 mph times with an automatic is a Bama retune box, and 3.73 gears and a aluminum drive shaft round's out the package Oh less I forget, Long tube 1 3/4" headers and mufflers. Quarter mile times are 12.98 at 113 mph, uncorrected and not at sea level. This is done without any horsepower power adders, other than a reprogram for 93 octane run's. 3,447 pounds with all extra components removed. Some 80 + pounds of dead weight. Ford left all this extra performance on the table for us home hot rodder's to step up, without breaking the bank. I'll have mine in race red with charcoal interior, Automatic tranny and the performance package. Just think for a minute, V-6 automatic trans. And your neighbors 5.0 liter 6 speed stick. Racing in town red lite to red lite, and out running the GT by a car and a half length every time. Go run through the quarter mile and out run your friends 5.0 liter GT 4 or 5 car lengths. I will take the way better handling, way cheaper and way better gas mileage V-6 Brother All the hype be dam sign me up baby sign me up. I'll be $20,000 + better off money wise. The sound of a v-6 engine is starting to sound better and more better. Hype!?!?! yeah and for good reason for those in the know.
