    I'm curious, but why have armrests largely disappeared? I can think of like two cars with them, all in the economy range.

    Visually interesting? Yes. But aside from the quality issue pointed out here, the way the armrest slopes down around the cupholder seems like it would make it more difficult to retrieve your coffee mug or big gulp. I'd like to be able to get at my cup from the sides and/or back but this armrest makes that more difficult, especially if your cup isn't very tall.

    What are the chances that this is a side effect of the vibrating seat? I bet there is a simple way to correct this.
