Official fuel economy ratings are in on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 versions with the Jeep Active Drive I system, with one version returning 28 mpg on the highway.

    They should put the 3.0 diesel in it. Already have it EPA certified.

    The numbers don't seem all that impressive when you put them in perspective with the competition.

    Not exactly class leading, eh? 19/27 from the V6 isn't awful, but the larger Edge has identical numbers with larger displacement and three fewer gears. Plus it's due for an update. 21/28 from the four is simply not competitive.
