    I think flame surfacing works on some cars, but not others. I like the design language on Hyundai's smaller cars, but much prefer the Optima's design to the Sonata's. The E46 remains my favorite 3 Series design, and while flame styling lessened the appeal of later 3 series models in my opinion, far greater harm was done by the move away from being the Ultimate Driving Machine to being all things to all people so long as they didn't care about actually driving.
