Alternative vehicles need to prove themselves as versatile and cost effective as the vehicles currently on the market. Limited range, limited refueling stations, high price points, limited interior versatility (for most hybrids/BEVs), and the uncertainty of adopting the wrong technology are all factors against the widespread adoption of alternative fuel technologies.
