    I see many cars on the road, mostly "crappy" or "poorly maintained" looking cars that sound like a thousand raging birds chirping when accelerating. This is probably a completely different issue, but please tell me what that sould is. It is fairly common.

    you may want to check the FEAD components as well... any of the belt accessories could be making the sound or the belt could be slipping/seizing, especially when the engine changes revs suddenly.
