"I fully understand that trucks are driven by people who wear big boots..." I would state it thus: I fully understand trucks are *designed* to be driven by people who wear big boots... That is to say, whether they are (or put more precisely: how many actually are) is up for quite a bit of debate.

As a guy who does wear big boots and sometimes vehicles with this sort of pedal set up the real problem comes when you hit the brake and the right edge of your foot hits the gas as you press down on the pedal unless you focus on shifting your foot left.

Great timing! I just turned in a '14 Ram rental tonight after a couple of hundred miles, noticed and had a little discussion about the pedals too. My (very) tall companion had the opposite issue that you had. The brake was comfortable, but the accelerator too far. Not so far that he couldn't reach it, but far enough that it kept bugging him. Other than that, quite pleased with the truck but I know that it's more than I need. Also, rotary knob was a little strange, and horrendous bed height for loading and unloading! I was hoping Enterprise would have an access cab Tacoma so I could get some extended seat time with it, but no such luck...

Come on James! Did you see the commercial with Shaq shilling for Buick? They removed the front seat so he could sit in the back. Problem solved.
