I personally like floor mounted gas pedals, and they don't seem to be as problematic for heel and toe as hanging pedals (which seem slightly more sensitive to height/length and general positioning).

Terrible looking pedals, and already showing a lot of wear. Is one of the rubber grips completely missing?

3deeps, there are no rubber grips on the gas pedal from the factory.

duck87, I agree about floor-mounted gas pedals. I came to really like the floor-mounted pedal in my the VAG product I had before my ST3. I find the ST3's gas pedal movement to not feel as "natural" as a floor-mounted one.

Focus pedal placement is terrible. That's one of the only things I don't like about it. Ordering the Garage Line pedal mount ASAP. Hoping it works on the Focus SE. I wish I could lower the brake instead as it is too high for someone tall but this will do.

I have an aftermarket gas pedal spacer from Active Shift Designs which solved the problem. It makes the gas pedal pretty much level with the brake pedal.
