How in the world is Miata not on the list? The one shining light of hope for enthusiasts - a company committed to fun, affordable cars that has not given in to the pressures for more gizmos and gimmicks that just add weight and complexity. A car that remains a lightweight, connected, superb drivers car. A car that is raced more than any other car in the world, even the 911. A car that fits this list so perfectly, Jalopnik has declared that the answer to every automotive question is Miata. Because racecar.

Why 2 pickups and no representation of a SUV or CUV? I see you are otherwise trying to represent all vehicle categories. If you're going to be ythankful, why not pick the higher trim (e.g. S4, Mazdaspeed 3, etc)? Anyway, hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Have a piece of pie for me.

I can't help but laugh at this list. The A4 (not S4) sounds like a sewing machine with ridiculous squeaks and rattles in the interior and an excruciatingly jumpy throttle. Challenger and not Camaro or Mustang? Two waste-of-space pickups? GT-R instead of R8? Mazda 3 instead of Focus ST or GTI? Almost looks to me like Edmunds picked up a few checks in the mail to help some sales numbers.

I can't criticize any of the cars on this list, but I agree that it would have been good to try and make sure all the types are represented. For my part, I would think that the recently reviewed S7 belongs on this list as does the BRZ/FR-S. How can you not be thankful for a second affordable sports car option to go with the Miata?

Not sure if these are in any order, but there's nothing in the world I'd rather have than a 458.
