Right on, darkguy! Just test drove a Highlander last week. Not impressed. Truly oranges (MDX) and grapes (Highlander). And for the small price difference, ($49K MDX Tech vs $44K Highlander Limited) you'd be a fool to pile into the Muppet Mobile.

You all should add the 2014 Dodge Durango to your test fleet or at minimum road test it.

No way on the Dodge Durango. A very close colleague at work has had several problems with hers since day one - blinker lights not working and a serious back wheel suspension issue (NOT BOLTED IN! The dealer says it was a manufacturing oversight). All right off the lot brand new.

It was on my list until I heard this. Hopefully it was just a one time issue, but it was enough to sway me.

MDX it is for this future buyer.

Ha! Same day we test the Highlander we tested the Durango. Those were the only 3 cars in the running. Durango V6 AWD was fine but definitely felt kinda floaty and trucky. Nothing bad but you definitely feel you're in a big car. Visibility isn't good with the inline engine (probably can't see anything within about 8 feet of the front of the car). I shudder thinking about trying to parallel park this sucker in moderate street traffic. The engine does what you ask, but low end torque isn't great. I would really only buy this if I had to get teens/adults into the 3rd row regularly or needed to tow big stuff. By the way, Edmunds, how about an update? It's been 6 days since your last one. Sheesh!
