I've done 1000 mile days a few times. They're tiring. I've never done it on consecutive days, though. That's intense!

When I was especially young and stupid I drove from Idaho Falls, ID to Austin, TX in approximately 24 hours. I believe I covered almost 1600 miles in that time. Given my level of fatigue I should have fallen asleep, crashed, and died somewhere on I-35 in Texas, but somehow I made it.

Ahh, the dumb things college guys will do to see girls...

I drove from Niagara Falls to Phoenix in 51 hours once - so two 1,150-mile days and two nights in motels. I don't enjoy that anymore - concrete ain't my idea of scenery. I'd much rather take the blue highways.

Are you realling averaging nearly 30mpg or did I read that wrong? That's amazing considering the power of the motor and the HORRIBLE aerodynamics of any top down driving.

I agree on the setting position. It love the one in my 2007 Carrera 4s Cabriolet. It is very comfortable and the seats are very supportive. The best I have gotten for fuel mileage is 28 MPG at >75 MPH, partly with the top down.
