    The 99hp UK 1.5L version would be fine for me. Miata's never were about horses, but tossability. No biggie, if I were in the market, I'd get a used one for Sunday cruising anyway.

    220 actual fewer pounds means a 2.0 with about 170 hp is gonna make it plenty fast enough.

    I would expect about the same power as the 2.0 in the Mazda 3, so in the 155 range. As Rolls used to say "adequate"
