Jeep Grand Cherokee Brakes

My brakes light came on so I changed my brakes. My truck still wasn't stopping in time, I would have to brake early to stop on time. I stares to hear a leak coming from the pedal and checked under the hood and heard a leak coming from the brake hose but couldn't pin point the actual leak? Is it really the brake hose or something else ?
