I have a '12 Focus SEL in that same color and similarly equipped. The interior "styling" is the same as the '12 with the exception of a sliding door over the center console cup holders and it looks like the door lock button has been moved. The HVAC controls may have changed but they are in the same location and same style. The steering wheel has not changed. So, I can't agree that the interior styling has been improved. Perhaps some have grown accustomed to the styling.

It's disappointing that Ford didn't opt for a 6-speed manual with the 1.0 so they could offer better gear spacing. Has Ford done anything to improve the performance of the DSG?

I like it, but the 6 spd auto that's in both the Focus and Fiesta has turned out to be a pile of crap. I have three co-workers with these two cars and they have had nothing but issues.

I like the new front end treatment. Translating a style from a larger car (in this case, the Fusion) to a smaller one often doesn't work, but Ford did a great job here. The center stack design is an improvement, too. The outgoing model had a boy-racer look with its multitude of buttons and diagonal cut lines.

@bankerdanny This does have a manual. Ford just screwed up the ratios.

"The new addition for this year is a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder that currently serves duty in the Ford Fiesta SFE. Preliminary estimates put this engine at 123 hp and 148 pound-feet of torque from a low-low 1,400 rpm. This engine is, bizarrely, only available with a six-speed manual transmission and that's the configuration we sampled for this test. "

Yes, I got that, and perhaps a taller 1st would solve the issue all together and so 5 speeds would be enough. But a 6 might have been better to allow for consistent gaps between ratios.

@bankerdanny - I don't see what you're reading. 6 speed manual. I don't see anything about an automatic, or a 5 speed...

I don't see the drive train improvements this car needed most - just a bunch of cosmetic stuff - my '12 SE PowerShift was a terrible commuter - the slow responding transmission created too many scary situations - had to punt it at 5,495 miles - looks like only more malarkey from FoMoCo

ford has lost my business.I have a 2013 to sedan and was going to get a new 2015 to but only if it was a six peed manual.I only have 9 k on the ti.It runs perfect and they just replaced the clutch assembly ,so it smooth as all get.
I have amaranth up to 2018 or 36 k and I'm 75 yrs old.Tell me someone won' t give me a deal on a Mada 6 sod.
