    I realize you didn't pay for it... but $140, really? Oh man. I'm surprised that the air filter needed to be changed. Those on our Pilot (air filter and cabin filter) don't need to be replaced until 30k.. I still would love to see a breakdown of the costs. Get a $25 jug of Mobil one, get an OEM filter for $5 and you're likely done. Rotate the tires yourself or a shop will do it for practically nothing. Inspections should be free.

    The owners manual says to "inspect" the air filter at 15,000 miles. I guess maybe it could have been dirty enough to replace. One of my cars goes through air filters twice as fast as the other, something about where the air intake is I guess.

    Although I do the maintenance myself on my cars I can see that with labor rates probably being over $150 an hour in that area it could easily run $140 when paying list for filters and oil plus labor.
