'01 Trooper Anti-Theft light!

Bought at auction and after running in garage a few minutes I ran it out of gas. Went to start again and now this anti-theft light comes on then flashes when I go to start. Lights come on in the dash but will not engage the starter. I did not get a clicker to unlock, just a key. Do I need to get the clicker? or can I do something to bypass this anti-theft deal? Thank you

    Encountered the same problem with yours and what I did is went to the manufacturer of the car I owned, asked them of the possibilities on repairing it and it's okay now. It's free!
