Backfire, now missing on one cylinder. 2002 VW New Beetle.

I have a 2002 bettle with about 150k on it. was running fine and one day while the wife was driving it she heard a loud pop/bang and it started missing and has low power any ideas. Starts fine just dosent have much power and is missing on one cyclinder.
